    Recipe: Tess’ Yoga Tea (Goa)

    When I spent my solo week in Goa to catch up on some work, I drank this tea every single day. When I got up in the mornings, this is what I looked forward to: to start the day with this delicious concoction of cardamom, honey and cinnamon. Perfect drink to start your day on a good note!

     

    What you need

     

    For 1 cup.

     

    • water
    • a bit of freshly grated ginger
    • 3-4 cardamom pods
    • freshly grated cinnamon
    • 1 Tbsp honey
    • 3-4 cloves
    • juice of 1/2 lemon

     

    Preparation

     

    Put all ingredients in a cup, pour boiling water into the cup. Place a small plate on top of the cup (to seal & ‘cook’ for a while – alternatively you can also boil the ingredients in a small pot & cook for a few minutes). Wait 5min, stir. Done!

    How to make Ayurvedic Yoga Tea - this recipe is soooo delicious! I found this tea in a local cafe / restaurant in Goa. I went back every day for a week while I was there to drink this delicious tea. It's soothing, warming and a perfect detox tea. I started calling it my Yoga tea as it is what I would brew up after a yoga session. Mmmmh! Try it!
